Certification Details & Legal Validity

All official valuation reports issued through our platform are conducted by licensed Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and include full registration with the appropriate professional authority in Spain.

✅ Certification by COIN – Spanish Naval  Architects & Marine Engineering Official Association

Each valuation report is certified and registered with the:

Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Navales y Oceánicos (COIN)
The Official College of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers of Spain

This certification confirms that:

  • The report has been registered in the COIN official registry, with a unique reference number traceable to the issuing engineer.

  • It is signed by a licensed professional holding current accreditation and professional liability coverage, as required by Spanish engineering law.

  • The valuation complies with UNE/ISO standards applicable to recreational vessels (including ISO 12217 for stability and safety).

  • It has undergone full technical review and approval by the responsible engineer.

✅ Legal Recognition & Professional Validity

A COIN-registered valuation report holds full legal validity and is recognized by:

  • Spanish and EU-based insurers, for policy underwriting, value confirmation, and loss assessment.

  • Marinas, yacht brokers, and nautical agencies, on an official basis, for listing prices and sale negotiations.

  • Private buyers and sellers, for use in pre-purchase discussions and transactional documentation.

  • Authorities and maritime registries, for use in updating insurance values, vessel registration data, or ownership transfers.

All reports are filed in the official COIN registry, making them verifiable, traceable, and legally reliable in professional and administrative contexts.

✅ Timestamp & Digital Verification

To ensure the authenticity and integrity of each document, final reports include:

  • A timestamped electronic signature (firma electrónica) issued by the certifying engineer.

  • Cryptographic validation in compliance with Spanish Law 6/2020 (on Digital Trust Services) and aligned with the EU eIDAS framework.

  • A unique document integrity certificate (hash code), enabling recipients to verify that the document has not been altered.

  • Embedded metadata confirming the engineer’s identity and COIN registration credentials.

These digital controls ensure that the report is legally equivalent to a signed paper document, cannot be modified without detection, and remains valid and verifiable in the long term.
